Below are a few simple answers to questions that could arise while using Conway Corporation Internet Service. If your question is not on this list, or is not answered in enough detail, please feel free to contact us by phone at 501-450-6006 or by e-mail at support@conwaycorp.net

Where can I get help?

Conway Corporation provides technical support may be reached at 450-6006 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. through 9 p.m. E-mail support can also be reached at support@conwaycorp.net.

I am concerned about computer viruses and my computers security. What can be done?

While Conway Corporation can not directly protect your computer, we can offer information about how this can be done. It is highly recommended that you always run a virus protection program such as Norton Anti-Virus or Mcafee Anti-Virus and update your virus definitions at least once every week. You can get a trial version of these programs at the following links.

Do not accept e-mail from anyone you do not know. Do not give out your personal information over the Internet unless you are certain of the site’s security and do not allow any unauthorized connections to your computer.

Can I use a router, proxy server, or firewall?

While Conway Corporation does not prohibit the use of these devices, no support for these devices or the computers being connected will be provided. Customers using these do so at their own risk.

My Internet connection is slow. What can be done?

This is often related to the over utilization of the Internet and is most common between the hours of 7 p.m. to Midnight. This is not only do to a heavier volume on Conway Corporation’s Internet service, but on the majority of Internet services in the United States. If you experience a slow Internet connection outside of these hours of service or if the slow Internet connection persists over an extended period please contact Conway Corporation’s technical support line at 450-6006.

Everything appears to be installed correctly and working correctly, but I still can't use the Internet.

Shutdown and turn off your computer and unplug the power from your cable modem. After waiting at least 15 seconds, reconnect your cable modem, wait 5 additional minutes and finally turn your computer back on. If afterwards you are still unable to use the Internet please contact Conway Corporation’s Internet technical support at 450-6006.

Can I purchase my own cable modem for use with Conway Corporation’s high speed Internet?

Yes, all cable modems certified for DOCSIS 1.0 and 1.1 by Cable Labs should function on Conway Corporation’s high speed Internet service. However, using a cable modem not purchased from Conway Corporation may limit the support available for your Internet service. For all cable modems not purchased from Conway Corporation, the owner is liable for it’s warranty, repair and replacement should it for some reason become defective or not function properly on Conway Corporation’s high speed Internet service.

I am able to connect to some sites but not to others. Is there a problem?

This could be caused by a number of problems, including a portion of the Internet being down or a high volume of traffic. Conway Corporation does not filter any portion of the Internet.

My computer has crashed or frozen. Can you help me?

Unfortunately this could be a number of issues, but none are related to Conway Corporation’s Internet service and we will be unable to help. Contact your computer’s manufacturer or a computer repair facility.

What does an official Conway Corporation Notification email look like?

From time-to-time Conway Corporation may need to contact you about your service, whether that be because of maintenance, changes to your service, or many other reasons.  There are a few key components that you can look for to ensure that the notification is legitimately from Conway Corporation.  The first, and probably the best, thing to look for is to verify who the email is from.  Any mass notification affecting your service will always be from webmaster@conwaycorp.net.  The next component to check for is the subject line.  The subject line of an email will give you an overview of the email.  For example, Scheduled Cable Maintenance or Unscheduled Internet Maintenance.  There will never be a notification email that will have a subject line that reads, "READ ME!!" or "Click here for your..."  The final component to look for is an place to refer questions or comments to.  When we send out notifications we will give you an avenue to contact us if there is anything that is unclear, most often that will be to send an email to webmaster@conwaycorp.net.  If you any question about the legitmacy of a notification email from Conway Corporation, please don't hesitate to contact us by phone or email, 450-6006 or support@conwaycorp.net.
