E-mail Instructions for Entourage
- Open Entourage
- Select “Tools” menu at the top.
- Select “Accounts”
- Select “New”
- Type your name
- Select the right arrow in the bottom right-hand corner
- Select "I already have an e-mail address that I'd like to use."
- Type your email address
- Select the right arrow in the bottom right-hand corner
- The next screen should read, "My incoming mail server is a(n) POP server”
- Type “mail.conwaycorp.net” for both the Incoming mail server and the Outgoing mail server
- Select the right arrow in the bottom right-hand corner
- Type your Account ID and Password in the appropriate boxes.
- The Account ID is the first part of your email address before the @ symbol.
- If your email address is johndoe@conwaycorp.net, then your Account ID is johndoe
- Check the box next to "Save password in my Mac OS keychain"
- Only if you don't want to type your password every time you check your email
Select the right arrow in the bottom right-hand corner
- Type your Account name
- It is how you identify the account in Entourage.
- You should probably use your email address or "Conway Corp email."
- Select “Finish”
- Select “New email account”
- Select “Edit” in the Accounts window.
- Select "Click here for advanced receiving options"
- Check the box next to "This POP service requires a secure connection (SSL)"
- Close the window by clicking on the square in the upper right-hand corner
- Select "Click here for advanced sending options"
- Check the box next to "SMTP service requires a secure connection (SSL)."
- Check the box next to "Override default SMTP port" then type 465 in the box.
- Check the box next to "SMTP server requires authentication."
- Be sure "Use same settings as receiving mail server" is selected
- Close the window by clicking on the square in the upper right-hand corner.
- Select “OK”
- Close the Accounts window by clicking on the X in the upper left hand corner.
- Select “Inbox”
- Select “Send & Receive” at the top of the window to check for new messages
