E-mail Instructions for Outlook 2002 (XP)
- Open Microsoft Outlook 2002 (XP)
- Select “Tools”
- Select “Email Accounts” from the drop down menu
- Be Sure the first option is selected, “Add a new e-mail account”
- Select “Next”
- Select the second option, “POP3”
- Select “Next”
- Under “User Information” fill in your name and email address
- Under “Server Information” type “mail.conwaycorp.net” into both blanks
- Be sure that your user name appears in the first blank under “Login Information”
- Type in your password
- Select “More Settings” from the lower right corner
- Type your e-mail address into the “Reply E-mail:” blank
- Select the “Outgoing Server” tab at the top of the window
- Select the check box that reads, “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”
- Be sure the first option is selected, it reads, “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”
- Select the “Advanced” tab as the top of the window
- Select both check boxes that read, “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)”
- 995 should appear in the blank to the right of “Incoming server (POP3):”
- 995”
- Highlight the number in the blank next to “Outgoing server (SMTP)” and type “465”
- Under "Server Timeouts" use the slide-bar to select "2 minutes"
- Select “OK”
- Select “Test Account Settings…” and wait for all tests to be completed
- Select “Close”
- Select “Next”
- Select “Finish”
- Select “Inbox” from the menu on the left of the window to receive messages
