E-mail Instructions for Outlook 2003

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2003
  2. Select “Tools
  3. Select “Email Accounts” from the drop down menu
  4. Be sure the first option is selected, “Add a new e-mail account”
  5. Select “Next
  6. Select the second option, “POP3
  7. Select “Next
  8. Under “User Information” type in your name and e-mail address
  9. Under “Server Information” type “mail.conwaycorp.net” into both blanks
  10. Be sure that your user name appears in the first blank under “Login Information”
  11. Type in your password
  12. Select “More Settings…” from the lower right corner
  13. Type your e-mail address into the blank beside “Reply E-mail:”
  14. Select the “Outgoing Server” tab from the top of the window
  15. Select the check box that reads. “My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”
  16. Be sure the first option is selected, it reads, “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”
  17. Select the “Advanced” tab at the top of the window
  18. Select both check boxes that read, “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
  19. 995 should appear in the blank to the right of “Incoming server (POP3):”
    1. If not, highlight the number in the blank and type “995
  20. Highlight the number in the blank next to “Outgoing server (SMTP)” and type “465
  21. Under "Server Timeouts" use the slide-bar to select "2 minutes"
  22. Select “OK
  23. Select “Test Account Settings…” and wait for all tests to be completed
  24. Select “Close
  25. Select “Next
  26. Select “Finish
  27. Select “Send\Receive” from the toolbar at the top of the window to receive messages
