E-mail Instructions for Outlook 2007
- Open Microsoft Outlook 2007
- Select “Tools” from the menu at the top of the window
- Select “Account Settings” from the drop down window
- Select the “New…” button from the left side of the window
- Select “Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP”
- Select “Next”
- Type your name in the blank beside “Your Name:”
- Type your e-mail address in the blank beside “E-mail Address:”
- Type your password in the blank beside “Password:”
- Type your password in the blank beside “Retype Password:”
- Select “Next”
- Select “Next”
- Select “Finish”
- Single-click your email address in the window
- Select the “Change…” button from the top of the window
- Be sure the blank beside “Incoming mail server:” reads “mail.conwaycorp.net”
- If not, type “mail.conwaycorp.net” into the blank
- Be sure the blank beside “Outgoing mail server (SMTP):” reads “mail.conwaycorp.net”
- If not, type “mail.conwaycorp.net” into the blank
- Select “More Settings…” from the bottom of the window
- Type your e-mail address in the blank next to “Reply E-mail”
- Select the “Outgoing Server” tab from the top of the window
- Be sure that “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” is checked
- Select “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”
- Select the “Advanced” tab from the top of the window
- Select the check box that reads, “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
- 995 should appear in the blank to the right of “Incoming server (POP3):”
- If not, highlight the number in the blank and type “995”
- Highlight the blank next to “ Outgoing server (SMTP)” and type “465”
- Use the drop down arrow to the right of "Use the following type of encrypted connection:" and select "SSL"
- Under "Server Timeouts" use the slide-bar to select "2 minutes"
- Select “OK”
- Select “Next”
- Select “Finish”
- Select “Close”
- Select the “Send/Receive” button from the top of the window to receive messages
