E-mail Instructions for Outlook 2007

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2007
  2. Select “Tools” from the menu at the top of the window
  3. Select “Account Settings” from the drop down window
  4. Select the “New…” button from the left side of the window
  5. Select “Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP
  6. Select “Next
  7. Type your name in the blank beside “Your Name:”
  8. Type your e-mail address in the blank beside “E-mail Address:”
  9. Type your password in the blank beside “Password:”
  10. Type your password in the blank beside “Retype Password:”
  11. Select “Next
  12. Select “Next
  13. Select “Finish
  14. Single-click your email address in the window
  15. Select the “Change…” button from the top of the window
  16. Be sure the blank beside “Incoming mail server:” reads “mail.conwaycorp.net”
    1. If not, type “mail.conwaycorp.net” into the blank
  17. Be sure the blank beside “Outgoing mail server (SMTP):” reads “mail.conwaycorp.net”
    1. If not, type “mail.conwaycorp.net” into the blank
  18. Select “More Settings…” from the bottom of the window
  19. Type your e-mail address in the blank next to “Reply E-mail”
  20. Select the “Outgoing Server” tab from the top of the window
  21. Be sure that “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” is checked
  22. Select “Use same settings as my incoming mail server
  23. Select the “Advanced” tab from the top of the window
  24. Select the check box that reads, “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
  25. 995 should appear in the blank to the right of “Incoming server (POP3):”
  26. If not, highlight the number in the blank and type “995
  27. Highlight the blank next to “ Outgoing server (SMTP)” and type “465
  28. Use the drop down arrow to the right of "Use the following type of encrypted connection:" and select "SSL"
  29. Under "Server Timeouts" use the slide-bar to select "2 minutes"
  30. Select “OK
  31. Select “Next
  32. Select “Finish
  33. Select “Close
  34. Select the “Send/Receive” button from the top of the window to receive messages
