E-mail Instructions for Outlook Express
- Open Microsoft Outlook Express
- Select “Tools”
- Select “Accounts” from the drop down menu
- Select the “Mail” tab at the top of the window
- Select “Add” from the menu at the right
- Select “Mail…” from the drop down menu
- Type your name in the blank next to “Display name”
- Select “Next”
- Type you e-mail address in the blank next to “E-mail address”
- Select “Next”
- Be sure “POP3” is selected in the first blank at the top of the window
- In both blanks in the window type “mail.conwaycorp.net”
- Select “Next”
- Be sure your account name appears in the first blank next to “Account name:”
- Type your password in the blank next to “Password:”
- Select “Next”
- Select “Finish”
- Select “Properties” from the menu to the right
- Select the “Servers” tab at the top of the window
- Check the box under “Outgoing Mail Server” that reads, “My server requires authentication”
- Select “Settings”
- Be sure that the first option is selected, it reads, “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”
- Select “OK”
- Select the “Advanced” tab at the top of the window
- Select both check boxes that read, “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)”
- Highlight the number in the blank next to “Outgoing mail (SMTP):” and type “465”
- 995 should appear in the blank to the right of “Incoming server (POP3):”
- If not, highlight the number in the blank and type “995”
- Under "Server Timeouts" use the slide-bar to select "2 minutes"
- Select “OK”
- Select “Close”
- Select “Inbox” from the menu at the right
- Select “Send\Receive” from the menu at the top of the window to receive messages
