Instructions for
Windows Live Mail
- Open Windows Live Mail
- Select ‘Add
e-mail account’ from the left side of the window
- Type your
email address in the box to the right of ‘E-mail Address:”
- Type your
password in the box to the right of ‘Password:”
- Be sure that the box to the left of ‘Remember
password is checked
- Type your
name in the box to the right of ‘Display Name:”
- Check the
box to the left of ‘Manually configure server settings for e-mail account.’
- Be sure that ‘POP3’ is selected in the dropdown to the right of ‘My incoming mail
server is a ‘POP3’ server.’
- Type ‘mail.conwaycorp.net’
in the box to the right of ‘Incoming server:’
- Type ‘995’
in the box to the right of ‘Port:’
- Check the
box to the left of ‘This server requires a secure connection (SSL)’
- Be sure that ‘Clear text authentication’ is
selected in the drop down to the right of ‘Log on using:’
- Be sure that your username (the part of your
email address before the ‘@’) is listed in the box under ‘Login ID)
- Type ‘mail.conwaycorp.net’
in the box to the right of ‘Outgoing server:’
- Type ‘465’
in the box to the right of ‘Port:’
- Be sure that the box to the right of ‘This
server requires a secure connection (SSL)’ is checked
- Be sure that the box to the right of ‘My
outgoing server requires authentication; is checked
- Select ‘Next’
- Select ‘Finish’
- Right
click your username on the left side of the window, select properties
- Type your
email address to the right of ‘Reply address’
- Select the ‘Advanced’
tab from the top of the window
- Be sure that the box to the right of ‘Outgoing mail (SMTP);’ reads ‘465’
- Be sure that the box to the left of ‘This server
requires a secure connection (SSL)’ is checked
- Be sure that the box to the right of ‘Incoming
mail (POP3)’ reads ‘995’
- Select ‘Apply’
- Select ‘OK’
- Select ‘Sync’
from the menu bar at the top of the window
