Windows Live Mail Email Instructions

  1. Open Windows Live Mail.
  2. Click on the Accounts tab at the top of the window.
  3. Click on this wlm1 icon to begin configuring Windows Live Mail.  
  4. Fill in the following information:
    • Complete email address
    • Password
    • Display name
  5. Check the box next to Manually configure server settings.
  6. Click Next.

  1. On the Configure server settings screen under Incoming server information enter the following information:
  2. The Server type should be POP
  3. Below the Server address field check the box next to Requires a secure connection (SSL), the Port number will change to 995.  Enter pop.gmail.com in the Server address field.
  4. Authenticate using Clear text should already be chosen.  If not drop that box down and choose Clear text.
  5. Verify that under Logon user name your complete Conway Corporation email address is in that field.
  6. Under the Outgoing server information check the box next to Requires a secure connection (SSL) and Requires authentication.
  7. Enter smtp.gmail.com as the Outgoing server address and change the Port number to 465.
  8. Click Next.

Congratulations you have successfully configured Windows Live Mail for your Conway Corporation email address.  Click Finish.
