Password Change Instructions for Thunderbird on Macintosh

  1. Open Thunderbird
  2. Select "Thunderbird" from the menu bar
  3. Select "Preferences"
  4. Select the “Privacy” button from the top of the window
  5. Select the “Passwords” tab
  6. Select "Edit Saved Passwords" from the left side
  7. Select your email address from the middle of the window
  8. Select “Show Password
  9. Select “Yes” if asked “Are you sure you wish to show your passwords?”
  10. Select “Remove
  11. Close the window
  12. Close the window
  13. Select "Thunderbird" from the menu bar
  14. Select "Quit Thunderbird"
  15. Re-Open Mozilla Thunderbird 
  16. When instructed “Enter your password for *your username* on mail.conwaycorp.net:”  type in your new password 
  17. Be sure the box to the left of “Use Password Manager to remember this password.” is selected 
  18. Select “OK
  19. You have successfully changed your password and can use your email as usual
